Strange Beauty
This morning, Friday the 13th, we got into our van only to find that it wouldn’t start. It wouldn’t jump start so we called AAA. A few hours later they showed up but were of no help. We ended up getting stuck in a snow storm for 8 hours before someone came and was able to start the van up. We drove for a few hours on our way to Denver but the roads proved to be impassable and we were sliding all over the place. We all buckled up in the front seats but eventually it was too much for the van to take. We pulled over and got our chains on but were still having problems with the van. Looking around at everything covered in snow and with more coming down on us by the minute I thought to myself, “The most beautiful things in life always have a contrasting element of danger.” Anything worth having is going to be hard to get and there are going to be obstacles along the way that make you want to turn back, but those obstacles let you know that you’re doing something right. If it’s easy it wont last. It’s getting pretty dark now and we’re still trying to find a way to get moving. We’re definitely not going to make it to the show tonight, but we are going to try to make it after to hang out and try to sell some cds for repair money. This is strange beauty.
